19 questions on life to find one answer.

This morning I answered 19 questions.

19 questions life to reconnect to my new vision. My sense of purpose.

I found that as I connected to my future self there wasn’t much of a change in my answers.

Only more clarity.

Only one macro shift.

I am going to be a mother.

This macro shift has changed my lens of the world.

My lens of myself.

These 19 questions led to me back to my safe place inside.

No matter what I am doing in the future. How I am living.

I want to live a full life. With ease and grace.

I want to create a impact in the world of healing from trauma and loss.

Because there is enough suffering in the world.

I want to be a great Mother. I know I will be.

To give and receive love.

To trust.

While we can tap into the dream picture… I have realized that I am okay with the simple things.

With waking up and breathing.

With writing.

With being a mom.

Motherhood is a gift that only some get to experience.

What a great responsibility and gift for all.

Your Dreams and Visions.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” – Carl Jung

What are your dreams? What do you envision when you think of your future? How about that famous question, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” It can be a lot to think about and ponder on right?
Recently, I created a vision board as part of an assignment for a psychology class I’m in.  The assignment was to create a vision board or dream board of all the things in your life that you envision happening. It’s really open how you create it but ideally important to trust your instinct and find images and quotes that resonate with you. There really is no right or wrong way to go about making this vision board. All you need is some scissors, glue, magazines, newspapers, poster board and an open mind.
It was a very introspective exercise for me but also really fun and exciting! It’s like the step right before seeing your dreams actually become a reality. I felt compelled to find images that defined me in my life right now as well themes I feel connected to.  The image above is my vision board, you can see some of the things I included, I.e. fitness, spirituality, abundance, changing the world. The great thing about having a vision board is that you can put anything you want on it. Anything that inspires or uplifts you, makes you happy or simply reminders to think more positively.
So what would you put on your vision board? What do you want to see happen? Or what do you need to be reminded about? We go through life sometimes without listening to ourselves and forget to nurture our inner self. It’s important to take even a few minutes out of our busy day to check in and see how we are feeling.
What do you need right now? Inspiration? Love? Happiness? Give yourself permission to spend time working on yourself as well by creating a vision board! Consider this a little present to yourself and have fun with it. Take time to look inward and see what you want your inner and outer world to be surrounded by.
